Known as a leading international player in the warehousing, transport and packaging industries, FM Logistic signed the Energy and Environmental Efficiency Charter for the tertiary activity park, on Tuesday 4 June 2019, in the presence of Jérôme GATIER, Sustainable Building Plan Manager, on its Escrennes site. With this commitment, FM Logistic reiterates its wish to have ever more effective platforms, combining energy efficiency, environmental compliance and improving the well-being of its employees. As is the case with the newly built Escrennes platform, which has the “NF HQETM for Tertiary Buildings” certification, level Excellent, and which was designed by an FM Logistic Group company called NG Concept, the new platforms combine the highest standards in terms of sustainable construction, and are now working towards the “Sustainable Building HQE” certification.
Eric Duboille has been appointed, as of 18 March 2019, e-commerce Expertise Director for FM Logistic France, a leading international supply chain player. In this role, his mission is to reorganise the IT infrastructure and develop the e-commerce branch of the company to allow customers to access the various e-commerce channels and develop their omnichannel strategy
FM Logistic has obtained ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certification across all company sites in France, representing 30 logistics platforms that together employ over 6000 people. It is an honour that highlights FM Logistic’s excellent record over the past several years on improving occupational health and safety, reducing the number of workplace accidents and offering the best quality of life within the company.
This system of managing health and safety, which includes all employees, is fully in line with the group’s sustainable development programme, one main objective of which is to “take care of our workers”.
FM Logistic has been named one of France's top employers for the fourth year running. The company, which employs about 6,000 people in France, received the recognition from the Top Employers Institute in Paris on 5 February, during an event attended by France’s Labour minister Muriel Pénicaud.
FM Logistic has just received an “Innovation Award” at the All4pack 2018 trade fair for its brand new “LEAN DESIGN & COPACK” offer, a unique, comprehensive solution that includes consulting and packaging conception and design through production, while integrating optimal control over all co-packing operations.
FM Logistic’s new platform, located in L’Herbergement, was opened on October 4th. Since September 2017, the platform has housed Europe Snacks, the leader of the French apéritifs market, for upstream transport (between its production site and the platform) and warehousing. Since March 2018, the platform has also housed Petit Navire, the leading canned fish manufacturer, for logistics and transport.
Built at the centre of the two food industry manufacturers’ activities by NG Concept, a subsidiary of FM Group, the platform presents numerous advantages. There are at present 5 cells for a surface area of 28 500 m², which will eventually increase to nearly 34 500 m².
Since early July, FM Logistic France has been housing the Beiersdorf group at its platform in Château-Thierry (02). The inventor of modern cosmetic cream, known worldwide under the brand name Nivea, also owns Eucerin, La Prairie, Labello and Hansaplast.
Through joining FM Logistic’s cosmetics pool, Beiersdorf is able to consolidate its Cosmetics and Personal care operations on a single site while benefitting from FM Logistic’s expertise in terms of shared supply management, multi-channel distribution, secure storage and operational performance.
Partners since 1996, Carrefour France and FM Logistic are inaugurating the retailer's logistics site in Savigny-sur-Clairis, near Sens (Yonne) today.
Operated by FM Logistic, the 57,000 m² platform houses the warehousing and order picking activities for food (dry goods and groceries) and HPC (home and personal care) orders for the 1,100 points of sale in the Paris and Lyon regions (Carrefour hypermarkets, Carrefour Market supermarkets and Carrefour Proximité local stores).
The period since the site opened in January 2017 and the ramping up of its activities over the last 18 months has been marked by a number of large-scale recruitment campaigns. The workforce – now 221 employees on permanent contracts, the model preferred by the logistics provider – is now in the stabilisation phase. It is expected to reach 270 by the end of 2018.
The vast spaces that logistic warehouses cover have staff walking distances of several kilometres every day. And all this walking means fatigue, wasted time and slow responsive times.
This is why the QHSE department at FM Logistic France and its partner, HUBLEX, a supplier of innovative solutions and services and for getting around large sites, have co-developed a professional gyropod. This innovative tool, developed to the logistics firm's specifications, has been successfully tested over several months on the FM Logistic platform at Neuville-aux-Bois (45).
FMEA (for network of disability-friendly enterprises), a subsidiary of FM Logistic France, has been operating in the Hauts-de-France region, on the Château-Thierry (02) site, for a year now. Set up in March 2017 and supported by the DIRECCTE (Regional Directorate Enterprises, Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs, Labour and Employment), this disability-friendly enterprise operates like any other ordinary company, but has an obligation to employ at least 80% disabled workers.
